The Discovery Program for Global Learners (a.k.a GDP) is a 4-year bachelor’s program that can be completed entirely in English. The Program accepts students from all over the world to learn together. The Program allows students to create individualized curriculums that match their interests so that they can gain the specialized knowledge required to become active members of society who provide solutions to global issues.

Program Feature
1:Personalized Curriculum
All students work closely with an academic advisor to develop an individual study program that matches their desire to learn, interests, and future goals. Proactive and creative learning that goes beyond specific “majors” will foster the ability to be a pioneer.
2:Major Courses in English and Language Education
The Program’s common language is English. Students are expected to read academic texts in English, analyze data and information, and share their opinions and arguments in English during class discussions. Students can receive advice on taking English classes that suit their levels. International students can also take Japanese language classes that suit their levels and academic and career goals.
3:Student Collaboration
Group discussions and presentations are key elements of the GDP courses. The Program provides students with the opportunity to develop the skills needed to successfully interact and cooperate with people from diverse backgrounds.
4:Emphasis on Practicums
The Program emphasizes practical, hands-on education featuring fieldwork, internships, study abroad, and laboratory work. Students will learn to deal with complex issues from a variety of perspectives, and present creative, concrete solutions to real-life problems.
